Please take note that there are mechanical and electrical parts, components, and connections in your Sprinter that are necessary for your transmission to perform properly.
These parts are not included in your transmission, but may cause malfunction or damage to your transmission if not in perfect working order. These parts include but are not limited to: computers, solenoids, actuators, relays, wiring harness, temperature sensors, speed sensors and connectors.

Special Equipment is needed for proper installation such as a scanner for trouble code retrieval and shift adaptation reset.

A Mercedes-Benz scanner is the only scanner to work accurately 100% of the time. After-market scanners may not be able to provide re-adaptation. (i.e: Snap-on, OTC, Genesis, Ect.)

We use a Snap On Modis with no trouble on Sprinters.
